Code Pre Assessments
Since September 2010 all planning applications for new dwellings in Wales have to include a Code Pre Assessment within the Design & Access Statement. This identifies the potential credits & overall score a development will achieve.
As a minimum a Pre Assessment should include:
- A clear and reasoned statement that the building has been designed to meet the minimum sustainable buildings standard
- The predicted overall score
- The predicted credits against Energy 1
- The environmentally sustainable design solutions proposed
